Dyslexia is not a disease but is a product of thought and a special way of reacting to confusion. It is not limited to reversals of letters and words. It can affect a number of areas of life.  The mental function that causes dyslexia is a gift or a special perceptual talent.  Not every dyslexic uses these gifts to full effect.
